Silvia Scozia has over ten years of experience working in policy-making and research on national and international law issues, both in the private and public sectors.
She is currently the Founding Partner of BST Impact, where she acts as Head of Law and Policy, helping businesses and organizations adopt a norms-based approach by putting rights and people squarely in the centre of their strategies and operations, to truly further the achievement of the SDGs.
Previously, she has worked as a British Red Cross Research Fellow and College Research Associate in Cambridge (UK), as a Legal Associate at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Advisory Service on International Humanitarian Law, and as a Counsel to the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain at the law firm Palacio & Asociados in Madrid.
She has broad experience reviewing the compliance of existing frameworks with internationally recognized standards and creating feasible, substantiated, action-oriented policy strategies for diverse stakeholders, developed throughout her collaborations with the International Migration Law Unit of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Office of the Prosecutor at the UN International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), and the NGO Oxfam.
Silvia holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Law, and an LL.M. in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the Geneva Academy. She specialized in Sustainability Leadership and Corporate Responsibility at the London Business School.
