Chris is an instantly recognisable and respected Industry figure. Having spent many years leading and inspiring Remarketing teams in both Prime and Sub-Prime Contract Hire and Leasing vehicle fleets with the likes of Automotive Leasing (LeasePlan) and Duncton PLC (now MoneyBarn). He moved over to the Construction and Agricultural arena with IronPlanet, a American based Global On-Line auction business where he was instrumental in building and developing the European arm. He then led Volvo GB’s entire Used Construction Equipment Operation, culminating in opening a unique and dedicated National facility based in the Midlands.

He also developed a robust business model that reduced risk and significantly increased profitability. Latterly he has focused upon the drive towards Electric Vehicle Fleet integration and has successfully driven a number of high profile projects including; a Home Office Integrated Transport project to help align the complex EV vehicle Fleet and maintenance needs of Sussex and Surrey Police with Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Services and SECAmb (South East Coast Ambulance Service) and with Southampton City Council, developing a workable EV strategy, extending and delivering a public and internal EV infrastructure programme working with Commercial partners and utilising Government grants.

As a vocal member of the VRA – (Vehicle Remarketing Association www.thevra.co.uk ) Fleet Europe (www.fleeteurope.com) and a regular contributor to the EV Cafe (www.evcafe.org) he is always in the forefront of the EV Industry and networking with the leaders of organisations involved in the handling, preparation, and sale of millions of used cars, vans, and trucks every year.

 

He set up Griffin and Griffin Consulting to use his enviable experience and skills to help businesses and Fleet Operators with all aspects of Used Vehicle Remarketing and Business Management to achieve the high standards of efficiency, cost control and professionalism that he has proven is the key to successful Fleet Management and Remarketing – no matter the asset type.
