Vanessa Vallely OBE

Vanessa Vallely OBE (for services to Women and the Economy 2018) is the CEO and founder of WeAreTheCity.com, which has 140,000 female members. Vanessa’s corporate experience stems from a 25-year career in Banking, holding roles such as Head of Governance, Business Management & COO across nine financial institutions.

Vanessa has won 22 awards for her work in finance, gender equality, entrepreneurship and charity. Vanessa is an accomplished global speaker and has delivered keynotes for over 600 global organisations, both physically and virtually. Vanessa has been featured in over 75 news publications and is a regular guest on radio and TV.

Vanessa is the founder of several initiatives aimed at achieving gender parity and raising women’s profile in the workplace. Over the past six years, 950 women from over 25 sectors have been recognised through her Rising Star and TechWomen100 awards. Through WeAreTheCity, and WeAreTechWomen’s conferences and events, Vanessa and her team have helped to upskill and connect over 15,000 women.
